There's a fascinating history of the Royal Welsh Yacht Club on their website - and the club has just celebrated it's 175th anniversary. The club premises are the oldest club premises in the world, being a 13th century fortified gate of Caernarfon Castle.

The refurbished clubhouse is how to a thriving friendly membership who offer a warm welcome to reciprocal visitors.

Sailing

The club has an active sailing calendar of racing, regattas and cruising throughout the season. There's also a Celtic Longboat Rowing Club within the club, that practices on the Menai Strait and competes in long distance races and regattas.
